Ashley Furniture Expands to Chippewa County, Wisconsin

CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI, June 2, 2021 – The Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation’s [CCEDC] mission is to help existing businesses expand and to find new markets while promoting Chippewa County as a place for new investment and economic growth. The CCEDC is proud to welcome Ashley Furniture as the newest corporate citizen within the city of Chippewa Falls. The CCEDC team worked with Ashley Furniture to help identify their next manufacturing location. Entrepreneurs Return to Round-Up Hatch Pitch Competition After Pandemic

Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin (May 12, 2021) – Over seventy attendees supported the nine registered entrepreneurs that participated in the event. Organized and held during the International Economic Development Week, the event is aimed at strengthening the Chippewa Valley’s ecosystem for business startups and highlighting the mentoring programs that CCEDC and other economic development organizations do to support business growth in the Chippewa Valley. 2021’s first regional free open air job fair will take place, weather permitting, between 3 to 5 pm on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport parking lot. Nestlé announces Chippewa Valley Expansion

Chippewa Valley, Wisconsin (December 7th, 2020)-Nestlé announced that it is investing $50 million to expand and modernize their Nestlé Health Science manufacturing site. Located in Eau Claire Wisconsin, the expansion will add another 70 new jobs to the Chippewa Valley area. According to a company press release, the new production lines are expected to be operational in early 2022. “This major investment will make the Eau Claire facility Nestlé’s largest Health Science manufacturing site,” Jean-Denis Fournier, vice president of technical and production for Nestlé Health Science USA, said. The Eau Claire facility and division of Nestlé creates nutrition products used by health care institutions, patients, and consumers.
