The Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation [CCEDC] is holding their 27th Annual Meeting at the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds on August 27, 2021 from 11:45 am until 1:45 pm. This year’s Annual Meeting is themed “Back in the Saddle” and will be an opportunity for the organization to showcase its work over the past year and present businesses with several awards after a motivational keynote address by a featured guest.

“We are excited to return in-person to our annual meeting since the start of the pandemic. This is our chance to brush off the dust, celebrate lifting ourselves up, getting back in the saddle and working together to get our local economy bouncing back. Now that vaccinations have been rolling out for quite a while and everyone is familiar with safety guidelines, business and community leaders are anxious to get back in full gear and the Annual Meeting is a start to that,” expresses Charlie Walker, President and CEO of the CCEDC.

“The CCEDC Board is excited that our 2021 annual meeting will be held in-person.  It will be an opportunity to come together to recognize and celebrate the strength and adaptability of our community in navigating the trials of this past year,” said Tom Waldusky, chair of the CCEDC Board. “As an organization we are proud to serve our community and look forward to the continuing to build upon the legacy of economic success achieved in Chippewa County.”

Networking begins at 11:30. Tickets are $20. There are still sponsorship positions available; please contact the CCEDC if you are interested. The categories available are Business of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Construction Industry Partner of the Year, Economic/Community Development Partnership, and Economic/Community Development Leadership.
