Indianhead Plating of Chippewa Falls Purchased by Pioneer Metal Finishing’s of Green Bay, Wisconsin
Indianhead Plating, Inc located in Chippewa County, Wisconsin has been in business for over 42 years. The company employees over 90 people in a 120,000 sq/ft facility located in Chippewa Falls. Founded in 1978, the plant operates 24 hours a day 7 days a week and has become the leading chrome plating provider in the Upper Midwest. Indianhead provides chrome plating, roll services, cylindrical grinding, and other related processes to customers in the agricultural, heavy equipment and general industrial end markets nationwide. 2020 CEDA Winners & Finalists Announced by Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation
Economic development professionals, community leaders and businesses from across Wisconsin gathered virtually to view a live stream of the 2020 Community and Economic Development Awards (CEDA) held by Wisconsin Economic Development Association (WEDA). “Wisconsin’s Hemp Rebirth” Lunch & Learn Series
On March 4th 2020, Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation was proud to host another successful Lunch and Learn event at our sponsor, B&B Electric's, facility. The event discussion was led by Justin Kirking (Business and Cooperative Programs Specialist, USDA Rural Development). Justin spoke to attendees about "Wisconsin's Hemp Rebirth" and was focused on addressing the current challenges and future opportunities that exist through Rural Development Programs in order to assist in financing the processing and other value projects that could potentially be eligible under the Rural Development's financial programs and post-harvest eligible projects as well. This event is the first in the upcoming series of similar Lunch and Learns, stayed tuned for updates & flyers for the upcoming events over the course of the next few weeks!

Sarah Gordee (Director of Sales, Hookd Promotions) led another outstanding BEAR Lunch and Learn where over 20 Chippewa County business leaders gathered at Hangar 54 within the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to discuss emerging strategies utilized in attracting new employees. The session also explored trends and statistics around the role that internet video use has on talent attraction and those potential employees searching for new opportunities. 2020 is starting out great for the BEAR Business Expansion and Retention Lunch & Learn Programs! CCEDC knows that the strong "engines" of our local economy are our existing businesses. Farm Ventilation Business Expands In Chippewa Falls
Chippewa Falls, WI (December 2nd, 2020) – A Chippewa Falls manufacturer is planning a $9 million expansion that will allow the company to double its staff. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for December 14th. VES has completed an agreement to purchase a 12.4 acre parcel in the Lake Wissota Business Park from Chippewa County for $1, said Chippewa County Supervisor, Steve Gerrish. The property is in one of the city’s tax-increment financing districts. VES designs ventilation systems for barns and agricultural buildings, which improves the overall quality of life for animals.
