Performance Review

It's not every day that economic development organizations get a chance to review their performance during the site selection phase of a project. When DHL selected Chippewa County's Lake Wissota Business Park for their project, the CCEDC team had the opportunity to sit down with Kelli Saunders, Sr. Director Incentives and Site Selection of DHL Supply Chain. She discussed her satisfaction with the organization's performance. The information that Ms. Saunders provided will help CCEDC improve our program and for those wanting to know, we received top marks! #ChippewaCountyEDC,

Every business needs a personal visit!

The Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation utilizes three ways to three ways of facilitating the creation of jobs and capital investment within the Chippewa Valley. First, working to help in the creation of new firms (entrepreneurial development like our HATCH and Pitching events). Second, attraction of external firms to our area (business recruitment like the Fleet Farm Distribution Center) is used by CCEDC. Last but not least- we use a strategy of working to improve the growth/expansion of our existing firms (Business Expansion and Retention or our BEAR Program). Up to 80% of net new jobs and capital investment in the Chippewa Valley is generated by existing firms, and these existing firms provide even more return on investment in smaller, rural market areas like Chippewa’s. Just recently the CCEDC BEAR team visited several [...]

Meet ABECS Global

ABECS GLOBAL When ABECS Global was founded in 2016 by Ms. Jane Eagen, they never thought they'd be looking for a new location within a few short years. At that time, the company focused mainly on farm animals, providing health nutritional supplements. Dr. Vijay Sasi, a veterinarian, took over the company as President and CEO in January 2018 and has extended the product line to include products for both food and companion animals. The business boomed, Dr. Sasi knew he needed help in finding the right location to grow his business. He was recommended to turn to the Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation and their professional staff. ABECS is an acronym for multiple species, including Avian, Aquatics, Bovine, Equine, Exotics, Canine, Caprine, Cats, Swine, and Sheep. This represents the multitude of products it [...]
