The Chippewa Economic Development Corporation has the continuous opportunity of working with a plethora of entrepreneurs throughout the Chippewa Valley. Their backgrounds vary from truck drivers to nurse practitioners and everything in between with one thing in common: they want to grow or start a business!

Entrepreneurs reach out for guidance; we provide them with the resources needed to get the ball rolling. Business planning and ideas for funding are just a few examples of the help CEDC provides.

We would like to put the spotlight on local entrepreneur, Kelli Cook. Kelli has a hot business plan and is planting her roots in Chippewa Falls. A hot yoga studio, The Yoga Plant, is opening on Thursday, March 30th! There will be a variety of classes offered throughout the week varying in difficulty and techniques.

What makes the classes hot and why do you want heat when performing yoga one may ask? Hot yoga means infrared heat ranging from 75-100 degrees fills the room while you workout. According to the experts, this decreases the chance of injury, helps you sweat and detox, and increases flexibility. It is a twist on traditional yoga that has picked up momentum and is becoming a popular workout option for many.

With the popularity of Hot Yoga on the rise, Kelli saw an opportunity and dove in. The studio is conveniently located downtown Chippewa Falls in the building that was previously known as Bye the Willow. It is nestled along Duncan Creek and High Street. With extensive remodeling, it will have a whole new feel.

Head on down to The Yoga Plant for a session or two! We wish Kelli success on her newest adventure and cannot wait to see what the future holds for her.
