The Chippewa Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) is one of those resources that provides business consulting, help with grants and funding, site selection assistance, keynote speaking, as well as mentorship programs and various other services to the Chippewa Valley (free of charge might I add). CCEDC Hosts Regional Entrepreneurial Pitch Contest, HATCH

The Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) is paving the way for local entrepreneurs and assisting them in bringing their business ideas alive by organizing and hosting the Chippewa Valley HATCH Program. Fostering more Startup entrepreneurs makes sense because of the role they play in helping the Chippewa Valley grow and prosper. CCEDC once again teamed with the BrightStar Wisconsin Foundation, Inc. and several area local businesses at Cowboy Jack’s Saloon in Altoona, WI on Thursday October 17, 2019 to further develop the entrepreneurial eco-system. Red Letter Grant Application

CCEDC is proud to promote the Red Letter Grant - hurry! Application deadline is Oct 14th! for risk takers, movers + shakers | ELIGIBILITY | Open to women throughout nine counties in Western Wisconsin who want to start a NEW business. We will consider applications from existing women-owned businesses looking to expand, but preference is given to applicants in the start-up phase. Eligible counties include: Buffalo, Clark, Chippewa, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, Saint Croix and Trempealeau. | HOW MUCH | Four $2,000 grants will be awarded in the spring and the fall ($16,000 annually).
