Badger Bounce Back Plan to Restart Economy

Gov. Tony Evers announced Wisconsin's "Badger Bounce Back" plan which outlines important criteria for Wisconsin to be able to reopen its economy in phases and includes steps to make sure workers and businesses are prepared to reopen as soon as it is safe to do so. “The Badger Bounce Back plan is informed in part by the President's Guidelines for Opening Up America Again that was issued by the White House on April 16, 2020. Currently, Wisconsin does not meet the criteria the White House established to start reopening our state. “Wisconsin’s Hemp Rebirth” Lunch & Learn Series

On March 4th 2020, Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation was proud to host another successful Lunch and Learn event at our sponsor, B&B Electric's, facility. The event discussion was led by Justin Kirking (Business and Cooperative Programs Specialist, USDA Rural Development). Justin spoke to attendees about "Wisconsin's Hemp Rebirth" and was focused on addressing the current challenges and future opportunities that exist through Rural Development Programs in order to assist in financing the processing and other value projects that could potentially be eligible under the Rural Development's financial programs and post-harvest eligible projects as well. Missy Hughes, Secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) visited Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) to receive an update on the organization’s Business Retention, Entrepreneurial Development and Workforce Strategies that are currently being deployed. 2nd Annual Career Exploring Event

Chippewa Falls, WI (US) August 13, 2019 – 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the National Exploring Program and celebrates decades of opportunities for young adults to become prepared for life. Career Exploring is a unique career exploration program for young men and women grades 6-12. The program provides students with an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of career fields and network with professionals already working in those fields.
