CEDC Assists with Basic Economic Development Course

Recently, Eau Claire, Wisconsin, hosted a Wisconsin Economic Development Association's Annual Basic Economic Development Course (BEDC) for 2024. This four-day training event brought together over 40 participants, including economic developers, public officials, and young professionals from various states, all eager to enhance their skills in economic development and related industries. The course featured sessions led by seasoned economic development experts, covering critical topics such as business retention and expansion, strategic planning, marketing, economic development finance, and workforce development. One notable instructor was Charlie Walker, President and CEO of the Chippewa Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), who provided invaluable insights on managing economic development organizations.
