CEDC Holds Board Meeting at Farm Technology Days with a Focus on Healthcare

On the last day of Farm Technology Days, the Chippewa Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) held a pivotal board meeting, bringing together community leaders both in person at the Hixwood building and virtually. This meeting was significant not only for its venue—Wisconsin's largest outdoor agricultural event—but also for its focus on a topic crucial to the future well-being of the Chippewa Valley: healthcare. BEAR Team Visits Red Cedar Agronomy

The Chippewa Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) actively engages with local businesses through its Business, Expansion, and Retention (BEAR) Program. An important part of this program is our BEAR VISITS where CEDC staff, board members, and stakeholders visit our local employers. These business expansion and retention visits are important to economic development because they help strengthen local businesses, help identify any challenges small businesses may be facing, and provide support solutions to better ensure entrepreneurs long-term success. By maintaining existing businesses, communities can retain jobs, generate economic stability, and foster growth and development. Farm Technology Days Unwraps the Secret

Along with cookies and milk, this holiday season the local Wisconsin Farm Technology Days (WFTD) Committee continued their work alongside the Chippewa Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) in identifying the location for the 2024 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days show to be hosted in Chippewa County. Recently, they held a press conference at Chippewa Valley Electric Cooperative's (CVEC) office in Cornell, WI to "unwrap" or reveal the host farm and the venue. The committee is proud to announce that it has chosen a date and location. Scheduled for August 13-15, 2024, at the Country/Rock Fest grounds in Cadott, Wisconsin (WI).
