CEDC  Investor and Major Stakeholder, Miron Construction Co., Inc. with the help of both the Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire Chambers, broke ground on its new region office in Lake Hallie in May. The family-owned company has been in business since 1918 and is now one of the nation’s premier construction firms and industry leaders. Miron provides innovative preconstruction, construction management, design-build, industrial, and general construction services to multiple markets throughout the nation. Approximately 1,700 employees provide professional construction services to Miron’s clients.

Currently, Miron is headquartered in Neenah, WI, with Yard Operations located in Menasha, WI, and regional offices in Eau Claire, Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, and Wausau, WI, and Cedar Rapids, IA. The new office in Lake Hallie will replace its current office in Eau Claire, Wis.

“We look forward to operating from our new space as it will allow us to better serve our clients in western Wisconsin from a state-of-the-art facility in a convenient location,” said Andrew Daniels, senior vice president, Eau Claire office. “After nearly four decades of working in the area, it’s exciting to have a new space for our team of 30+ staff members to call home.”

The new 15,000-square-foot office space will showcase various construction materials typically seen in the industry. Features will include open workstations and collaborative spaces for a flexible work environment; training rooms and meeting spaces for clients and community organizations to utilize; creative branding to celebrate Miron’s core values and Chippewa Valley’s rich history; and an adjacent warehouse building and laydown area to allow for material and equipment to be staged for projects in the region.

CEDC helped provide information on building locations withing Chippewa County to the company’s consultants during their search for the right location. “Centrally located between Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire, the Village of Lake Hallie site chosen by Miron Construction is perfectly situated to serve its regional customers,” expressed Charlie Walker, CEDC President. “It’s going to be a really beautiful building with high visibility from Highway 53.” Miron will also be seeking LEED certification, as the office will include sustainable features such as geothermal heating and cooling, and a photovoltaic-ready roof structure.
