Exciting things are happening at the Eau Claire and Chippewa County Line! Discussions are being had about the Development of Hwy T near where it meets Hwy 29. Four alternative plans were given to the committee and public to decide which one would make the most effective, efficient, and leave the least amount of disruption to local home and landowners.

Expanding lanes, adding round abouts, service roads, and cul de sacs were all topics during the February 7th meeting held at 29 Pines & Lodge. Members of the community sat in discussion with a debrief of the plan that has been chosen, a timeline to expect the completion, and talks of grants to make the funding happen.

There was also talk of making it intermodal friendly for transportation services. Planning the infrastructure and the basic foundations to accommodate such advances is crucial to save money in the end phases of the project, not having to dig up and add services after foundations have been laid.

Many businesses would thrive in a location so near to highways with as much traffic as Hwy T & Hwy 29 have. Country Jam USA is moving their music festival grounds to this area as well as their campsites for the festival. Easy accessibility and visibility made this move a wise decision.

Local businesses were urged to submit letters of support to increase the likelihood of receiving their grant they were seeking. Many members of these businesses were in attendance of the discussion.

Although in the early stages, it is promising to see a development that could have such a large positive impact to our area in many different ways. There is so much potential for large and small businesses alike. We are excited to watch the plan come to fruition over the next few years.
