CHIPPEWA FALLS, WISCONSIN – On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, the Chippewa Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) will be hosting a Developers Update. Stewart Wangard, founder/CEO of Wangard Partners, Inc. in Milwaukee, will update attendees on their Chippewa Crossing real estate projects. Wangard Partners believes in building valued partnerships by bringing together key stakeholders in the community to ensure their project’s success. Dante Tomassoni, COO of Development at P&R Companies of Duluth, MN, will be discussing what the company looks for in a community when building their projects. Since 2010, P&R Companies prides themselves on designing and constructing their buildings to the highest industry and construction standards, making them as energy efficient as possible and reducing the carbon footprints of their properties.

The event will be held at the Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC)’s Chippewa Falls campus (770 Scheidler Rd), in room 112, and aims to keep the community leaders abreast of current housing, broadband, and economic developments happening in Chippewa County.

Attendees, along with gathering insightful information from real estate developers, will get to hear from the Chippewa County Housing Authority, the Chippewa Valley Homebuilder’s Association, the Chippewa Economic Development Corporation, and local telecom companies on their role in the County’s development.

“In today’s world, with companies leveraging work-at-home, access to broadband is rapidly becoming a top-tier requirement in new residential development.” noted Ryan Hartzell, Director of Technical Services at Citizens Telephone Cooperative, Inc., and a CEDC Board Member. “This event gives us the chance to update leaders on our progress of deploying high-speed broadband across the region.”

“Chippewa County continues to experience positive development in 2022, despite the effects of the recent pandemic and current global events,” stated Charlie Walker, President and CEO of the CEDC. “We expect this growth to continue into 2023, and this event helps us stay abreast of the latest trends.”
