On Wednesday October 19, 2022, several Chippewa Economic Development Corporation Board members attended Business Day in Madison. The event brought business leaders from all over the state including Chippewa Economic Development Corporation’s (CEDC) Rebecca Reinhardt, Deb Chilson, and Mary Stabenow to discuss important issues facing the business community and our state.
The day was filled with featured speakers that included former United States Navy SEAL Rob O’Neill, former White House Chief of Staff Reince Preibus, former New York Congressman Steve Israel, Managing Director and Head of CIO Portfolios at Merrill Lynch Vineet Budhraja, and President & CEO of Jack Links Troy Link.
Topping off the event was the announcement of the coolest things manufactured in Wisconsin. This year over 150 products were nominated to be the “Coolest Thing Manufactured in the State”! The overall winner was the Electric Fire truck produced in Appleton, by Pierce Manufacturing. “Several CEDC’s investors are major suppliers to Pierce Manufacturing and are part of their critical supply chain.” noted Rebecca Reinhardt Chair of the CEDC. “Its important that we recognize them and congratulate Pierce Manufacturing for their award.”
“We’re immensely proud of Wisconsin’s manufacturers and the products they make right here in our state. This industry is diverse: from commercial-grade equipment and vehicles to medical technology and food products, we do have cool things made in Wisconsin,” said WMC President & CEO Kurt R. Bauer. “These manufacturers provide rewarding careers, keep our economy growing, and make products that are used across the globe.”
