Community Kick-Off

Chippewa County spends more on drug-related health care than any other County in Wisconsin. The number of meth related cases in Chippewa County has more than tripled over the past four years. In 2014 there were 82 meth cases in the county, 12 of which involved relocating children. In 2018, that number more than tripled. As the number of meth cases in the County rises, leaders are seeing the impacts on not only local government but the families and community as a whole. This shocking rise has promoted Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) and other prominent leaders in the community to come together and take a stand against meth during this crisis situation.
