Did you know Chippewa Falls High School (Chi-Hi) will be hosting the Future Business Leaders of America's (FBLA) Regional Leadership Conference on February 3rd, 2024? FBLA is an organization that was first developed in the 1930s focusing on preparing students to become leaders with hopes of unleashing the power of entrepreneurship and business knowledge. FBLA focuses on academic competition and leadership development. It has grown to become the premier high school business leadership development platform where students get together, connect, and share ideas about future career opportunities. FBLA students work hand in hand with local business leaders and educators to participate in competitive events that help them prepare for the challenging job market. Chippewa County’s Lake Wissota Business Park is now the home of Nordson EDI.  What began in 1971 with a five-person machine shop in this small city of 14,000 is now Nordson Corporation’s global EDI® brand, recognized worldwide for advanced engineering and precision workmanship in the production of flat dies for film, sheet, and coating. STEAM Leaders in the Chippewa Valley

Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation (CCEDC) was proud to collaborate with Chippewa Falls High School on the 6th Annual S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) open house this past week.  S.T.E.A.M aims to spark an interest and lifelong love of the arts and sciences in students from an early age. Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math are similar disciplines in that they all involve creative processes and none uses just one method for inquiry and investigation. Teaching relevant, in-demand skills that will prepare students to become innovators in an ever-evolving world is paramount, not only for the future of the students themselves but for the future of the Chippewa Valley.
