There are estimates that state regulations can reduced economic growth by 1 percent. State regulations have accumulated over the years and compliance costs for Chippewa County Business continue to increase. To help local businesses address this issue CCEDC hosted a networking luncheon, February 14th on the topic, “Reducing the Regulatory Burden”, with special guest speaker Nancy Mistele, Director of the Wisconsin Office of Business Development.
The event was held at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport, and Nancy provided guests with an energetic, enlightening and incredibly informative lecture on how businesses in Wisconsin can find all of the answers and solutions they need to better aid themselves in being able to reduce the regulatory burden of state government.
Nancy has seen firsthand both sides of government rules and regulations and has more than 30 years of experience as a private sector entrepreneur. She offered guests countless relatable examples that they could use to better grasp a firm understanding what it truly means to give “business a voice in state government reforms”. And also explored how the Office of Business Development works with Wisconsin Businesses to help them tackle a full range of pressing issues such as unemployment, tax audits, permitting processes and even inspection requirements.
If you would like a copy of Nancy’s full PowerPoint presentation, please contact the CCEDC office directly and we will forward you the presentation.
