Chippewa County businesses are opening their doors to young adults through the Chippewa County Explorer Program (CCEP). The CCEP is designed to help students (ages 12-20) make a more informed decision about future careers. This work-based program provides the opportunity for students to visit local businesses, get hands-on experience, and meet local professionals in their field of interest. The CCEDC encourages Chippewa County young adults to participate. Bloomer Manufacturing Exploring is a program the provides local students the opportunity to learn more about manufacturers in Bloomer. This includes: Catalytic Combustion, AJ Manufacturing, and Processed Metals Innovators. Six learning sessions will provide students insight into manufacturing careers in areas such as computer aided design and engineering, welding, metal fabrication, machining, cold saw operation, and more. Muscle Car Restorations Inc. will provide students the opportunity to learn about topics such as body work, the metal shop, paint, assembly, wiring, and dyno testing. MCR is a 30,000+ square foot state of the art facility that is committed to providing the highest quality, detail-driven automobile restorations available in the industry. Their customer’s cars have been seen in magazines, on television, and winning top honors at national car show events. Chippewa Valley Innovation Center will provide a space for students to meet in order to learn more about entrepreneurship. The Innovation Center is unique, because it provides new entrepreneurial businesses with temporary facility, managerial, technical, and financial assistance. Through the entrepreneurship Career Exploring program, students will learn more about business start-ups, small business development, economic development and more.
