University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire

UW-Eau Claire (UWEC) provides a Wisconsin University education in a safe and small campus setting that integrates individualized teaching, research, and dynamic community outreach. With a campus also in Barron County, just a little north of Chippewa County, UWEC provides students with small classes that offer cutting-edge programs, hands-on research and life-enhancing study abroad opportunities. Students can find 80+ majors and minors and 14 graduate programs (including one doctorate program).

University of Wisconsin – Stout

University of Wisconsin-Stout (Stout) is Wisconsin’s only comprehensive, career-focused polytechnic university. One of only 125 polytechnic universities in the United States, Stout’s curriculum provides a combination of practice and theory that is highly sought after in the workforce.
With its convenient location a little west of Chippewa County in Menomonie, traditional students and adult learners can choose from 50 undergraduate and 22 graduate degree programs. In addition, the campus’ diverse Continuing Education and Outreach programs offer opportunities for professional development, business training, and youth programming.

Our graduates enjoy a 98.7% employment.

University of Wisconsin – River Falls

For the sixth consecutive year, The Princeton Review has named UW-River Falls (UWRF) a “Best Midwestern College” and US News and World Report has been UWRF “Best Regional University.” Founded in 1874, UWRF is one of 13 comprehensive universities in the prestigious University of Wisconsin System. Located in the beautiful St. Croix Valley just 45 minutes from Chippewa County, UWRF is a leader in exemplary teaching, undergraduate research, and sustainability.

UWRF’s Falcon Center for Health, Education and Wellness is a 286,347-square-foot facility featuring state-of-the-art classroom and performance lab space and serves as the home for the university’s Health and Human Performance (HHP) Program.

Lakeland College

Lakeland College is a four-year independent liberal arts institution, which is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Lakeland’s academic divisions include business administration, education, natural sciences, creative arts, humanities, and social sciences. Within these divisions Lakeland has 35 major academic programs. Lakeland College offers four master’s degree programs in Education, Business Administration, Counseling, and Theology.

Chippewa Valley Technical College

CVTC delivers innovative and applied education that supports the workforce needs of Chippewa County. They work closely with stakeholders and partners throughout the Chippewa Valley to ensure their programs are in alignment with businesses’ local workforce needs.

Offering over 97 programs, CVTC Workforce Solutions & Continuing Education develops long lasting employer partnerships throughout western Wisconsin. They serve employers and community members through customized needs analysis and responsive, performance-based solutions and specializes in providing customized training and technical assistance to help support local businesses, entrepreneurs, and organizations grow. CVTC will provide customized training onsite, at a CVTC campus, or at another location that is convenient and productive for the customer.

Many expanding and relocating companies take advantage of CVTC’s expertise and resources as a training grant partner to help address their challenges and sort through grant processes. CVTC aids in scoping a company’s present and future workforce skill needs, helps customize a training plan, fulfilling grant guidelines and working to create a robust consortium for grant submissions.
