WCWRPC TO HOST STRONG TOWNS EVENT
Thursday, April 20, 2017, Eau Claire, Wisconsin
The West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission would like to invite you to a series of events we’re hosting with Strong Towns Director Chuck Marohn on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Eau Claire.
Local leaders are invited to learn more about Strong Towns and their model of development that allows communities and neighborhoods to grow financially strong and resilient. These events are for elected officials; government staff such as planners, engineers, and finance directors; business and institutional leaders; and others involved in municipal finance and infrastructure, so please consider attending with your colleagues. Attached is a flyer for the events that we welcome you to post and share.
These events will be at RCU’s Corporate Office in the Chippewa River Room (200 Riverfront Terrace, Eau Claire, WI). Coffee and refreshments will be provided.
A public event will be held that evening at the Eau Claire Public Library (400 Eau Claire Street):
If you’re new to Strong Towns, here are 5 Essential Strong Towns Articles to get you started.
This is the first in what we plan to make an annual event in which we host a speaker to inspire leaders in our region to address challenges that our communities face. We believe this event will be valuable to you, as we feel the mission of Strong Towns complements our mission in this region to plan for sustainable development.
